If you’re like many of us, you have a lot of stuff you don’t use, want, or need. This could be anything from old and broken Christmas lights, to cardboard boxes from the delivery of your online shopping, to a computer that no longer works, to even milk jugs. What if we told you that all of these items can be recycled and all of these items will make you money? It is true! Recycling in California is incredibly beneficial, because you can literally turn your unwanted trash into cash!

It isn’t just lucrative; it’s also convenient. Recycle From Home makes it incredibly easy to recycle. When you recycle with us, you won’t have to worry about loading up the car with boxes or bags of cans and bottles and driving around town in search of a redemption center. We provide collection bags and bar code tracking labels to you to sort your California Redemption Value (CRV) aluminum cans, plastic, and glass bottles. All you have to do is schedule a pick-up online and put your items out for us to pick up. You’re done!

We’ll handle the rest from there. Our processing center schedules our drivers to pick up at a designated time that you select. Your items are recycled within 24 hours of pick up. These recyclable items are weighed and your redemption is calculated and processed for payment. Your recycling redemption funds are then sent to you electronically or as a check mailed to you, whichever you prefer. If this sounds incredibly easy, you’re right!

If you use Recycle From Home, making money from recycling in California is as simple as 1-2-3:

#1 Sort and bag up your CA CRV recyclable containers

#2 Schedule a pick up

#3 Get paid for your CA CRV recyclable containers

We will pay you for your pre-sorted CA CRV aluminum cans, plastic, and glass bottles. There are a few simple rules you need to follow in order to make the most refund money possible. We ask that you please separate out any bimetal cans from the aluminum cans. In order to receive the CRV, plastic bottles must be labeled “CA Cash Refund“ or a similar CA CRV message printed by the bottler. Generally, soda, water, and beer qualify for a cash refund, but liquor or wine do not. If you mix any non CRV bottle into the mix, we will have to deny our entire bag so please do not do this! When in doubt, check the label on the container. The side of a plastic or glass container or the top of a soda can will say one of the following:

“California Redemption Value”

“CA Redemption Value”

“California Cash Refund”

“CA CRV”

“CA Cash Refund”
