Irvine, Corona, Orange and Rancho Santa Margarita, California residents – At Recycle From Home™, we pick up and pay you for your pre-sorted CA CRV aluminum cans, plastic, and glass bottles. We are committed to promoting and making recycling easier, being the state’s only authorized mobile CA CRV recycle center.

Listed below is a complete breakdown of what items we take and what we don’t take. CA CRV recycle materials include aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal containers.

Do you have recyclable items that aren’t marked CA CRV? Don’t throw them away! – They are still recyclable in your curbside municipal recycling bins with your local waste collection service.

As part of the CalRecycle Pilot program, Recycle From Home™ shall pay the refund value for no more than 25 pounds of aluminum or plastic beverage containers, per consumer per day. Likewise, it shall pay the refund value for no more than 250 pounds of glass beverage containers, received from a given consumer per day. Not sure how much your bags weigh? Plastic CA CRV Bottles (#1)

In order to receive the California Redemption Value (CRV), Plastic bottles must contain a “CA Cash Refund“ label or a similar CA CRV refund message printed by the bottler. Note: Juice containers bottled before 7/1/24 do not need CA CRV label.

CA CRV Aluminum Cans

Interestingly, aluminum cans are the most sustainable CA CRV-eligible beverage package, and have the highest recycling rate. In order to receive the California Redemption Value (CRV), cans must feature a "CA Cash Refund" stamp.

Please separate out any BI-METAL cans from the aluminum cans.

Glass CA CRV Bottles

Glass bottles must be labeled “CA Cash Refund”. Soda, Water, Beer, Wine and Liquor bottles qualify.
Note: wine and distilled spirits bottled before 1/1/24 do not need CA CRV label.

Plastic containers #2-7 including distilled water jugs, etc are redeemable and we require customers to separate them from the #1 plastic bottles.

What does CA CRV mean on cans?

This label refers to California Redemption Value (CRV). Consumers pay CRV in California when they purchase beverages from a retailer. They receive consumer refunds when they redeem the labeled containers at a recycling center. Most beverages packaged in aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal containers are eligible for CRV.

How do I get my CA CRV back?

The easiest way to get your refund back is by giving your eligible beverage containers to a recycling center. At Recycle From Home, we make recycling and CRV in California even easier. We can come to your house and pick up your recycling ourselves. This way you get your CA CRV refund back without even leaving your house.
