Consumers pay California Redemption Value (CRV) when they purchase beverages from a retailer. They receive CRV refunds when they redeem the containers at a recycling center. Most beverages packaged in aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal beverage containers are eligible for CRV. (Notable exceptions are milk products).

For your first initial pick up (or if you run out of bags & labels), please use your own garbage bags and fill with your CA CRV beverage containers. We’ll add the tracking labels when we arrive. Schedule your pick up on our mobile app or by calling our office and we will drop off Recycle From Home bags and tracking labels for your future pick ups when we come by to pick up.

You can let us know whenever you schedule a pick-up by checking a box for additional bags, or you can contact us at any time. If you are out of bags, you can also use your own bags (see: “Can I use my own trash bags?” in the FAQ). Once you schedule your pick up, we will supply you with more bags and labels if requested or if you use your own bags.

We’ve recently updated our service! You can now use your own bags to hold your sorted recyclables for pickup: Just take a picture of the bag while scheduling and leave it out in a publicly accessible location before the time of your scheduled pickup (not inside the garage or your backyard).
If you do use your own bag, your pickup driver will also deliver a packet containing QR code labels and bags for your future convenience. Using transparent bags is recommended for efficiency and accuracy in processing.

The bags we provide are 33 gallon bags.
